Justin has been focused on disputes work in the maritime and trade sector since the beginning of his career. He is qualified in Singapore, Hong Kong SAR, and England & Wales. He often works in both English and Mandarin and has a strong focus on the Chinese and South East-Asian regions.
Justin acts in charterparty, offshore, cargo, and ship financing disputes for owners, charterers, traders, Clubs, and financiers. In recent years this has more often included insolvency-related matters and enforcement.
Outside the marine and international trade sector, his high-value commercial disputes experience includes shareholders', aviation, and construction disputes.
Part of Justin's practice is non-contentious, drafting and negotiating commercial and maritime contracts, often custom.
He is a CIArb Fellow and LMAA Supporting Member, and on the arbitrator panels / lists of various other arbitration organisations / institutions. He is a Senior Accredited Specialist in Maritime and Shipping Law (SAL).
Justin is based in Singapore. He resided in Hong Kong from 2014-2018.
