I have presented hundreds of maritime disputes to maritime arbitrators both in London under LMAA Terms and in New York under SMA Rules

I have taken numerous Admiralty and Maritime Law courses as well as many courses on arbitral procedure. I have been the chairman of the SMA Rules Committee for a total of 15 years (interspersed with my being SMA President)

I have written many papers which I have delivered at various International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA). I published articles on substantitve issues such as “Speed and Consumption”, “Consequential Damages and the Duty to Mitigate”, “Dangerous Cargoes”, Security Initiatives and Charter Party Clauses”, “A User’s Experience of New York and London Arbitration” and many others. Several of my articles have been published in law journals such as the Lloyds’ Maritime and Commercial Law Quarterly, The Journal of the Chartered Arbitrators Institute, the European Transport Law Journal and The Journal Of Maritime Law and Commerce.Back
