Clyde & Co LLP is a leading international law firm, with over 1,300 staff based in 23 offices around the world.  With over 70 years of experience in dealing with shipping matters it is known worldwide as a top tier shipping law firm.

The office handles all aspects of casualty work as well as "dry" shipping matters to include bills of lading, charter party, COA, ship repair, sale and building disputes. Clients include P and I Clubs, shipowners, charterers and insurers.  The office is also particularly active in relation to off shore oil and gas work in the region.  The marine team currently has seven case handlers.  The two partners, John Champion and Chris Edwards have both been handling marine work in Singapore since 1996, longer than almost all other offshore lawyers.  They are supported by Captain Bruce Ewen who has considerable experience in casualty investigation and computer simulations, also in Singapore since around 1996.  On average the office is usually running between 40-50 maritime arbitrations at any one time, subject to many different laws and seats.  Our overriding objective is always to obtain the best possible result for the client in the most time and cost effective manner.

Chambers Asia describes Clyde & Co as "a firm you can always trust when it comes to shipping litigation" and the Asia Pacific Legal 500 describes John Champion and Chris Edwards as demonstrating "an innate understanding of the region within which they work".
