Stamping its authority is an icon that symbolises equality, justice and admiralty. These qualities are expressed through its perfectly square shape, encasing the weighing scales in sleek profile and the white crest of a wave.
Anchored by this icon, the letters "SCMA" physically sail out into the world, flowing from inside the box to the open space outside. This dynamism is balanced by gravity, with the letters "SCMA" underlined by "Singapore Chamber Of Maritime Arbitration" at the base.
Two subtle stylistic touches reinforce the logo's meaning and significance. First is the white wave-shaped "S" that echoes the "S" in "SCMA" which is "Singapore". Second is the unique "A" adapted from the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) logo. This instantly establishes the link between SCMA and SIAC.
